History
Holger Christiansen (1927-2000) laid the foundation for the HC-CARGO success story in 1963. The company’s headquarters was – and still is -located in the city of Esbjerg, Denmark.
HC-CARGO faces market changes and technical developments with a forward focused and customer-orientated spirit, which is the driving force behind HC-CARGO employees. For more than 50 years, customers have come to appreciate not only the high quality of HC-CARGO products, but also the excellent service and strong partnership they have with HC-CARGO.

The Bosch Company acquired Holger Christiansen A/S in 2008. HC-CARGO has been a Bosch Group brand since then.

OE Quality at HC-CARGO
The 5 star icon will help you to make the right product choice. If you see the icon, the part is OE quality, i.e. the best quality on the market. If no icon appears, the part is aftermarket quality, i.e. the quality you are familiar with from HC-CARGO – tested at their own test facilities before launch.
The HC-CARGO 5-star programme contains products known in the automotive aftermarket as “original spare parts”. The suppliers of these parts are OE manufacturers.
Becoming a HC-CARGO supplier is not easy. Suppliers have to meet a long list of requirements. They need to have qualified processes and above all, they have to win over HC-CARGO experienced quality managers and engineers, who frequently visit suppliers to test them intensively. This is a continuous process which extends over the entire period of cooperation.
HC-CARGO also expect their suppliers to have certified management processes. They are therefore DIN EN ISO 9001 or TS 16949-certified.
Becoming greener and cleaner
HC-CARGO competent and dedicated engineering team ensures reliable and particular sustainable processes. HC-CARGO are awarded with ISO 9001:2015 certification. In addition, HC-CARGO have achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification which confirms our environmental policy.
